What is Pulmonology?

Pulmonology is a specialty that focuses on the lungs and the respiratory system, and specializes in diagnosis, treatment and management of various breathing-related and sleep disorders. These include asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, IPF, pulmonary vascular disease, pleural diseases, infectious lung diseases such as viral, fungal and bacterial pneumonias.
