The Division of Transfusion Medicine is dedicated to the safe and appropriate use of blood and blood products. Our specialists oversee blood transfusions, manage adverse transfusion reactions, and ensure that every patient receives the right blood product at the right time, supporting safe and effective clinical care across our facilities.

Our Diagnostic Scope

Our division provides a comprehensive range of transfusion and related services, including:
•   Blood transfusion oversight
•   Compatibility testing
•   Hematopoietic progenitor stem cell collection and processing
•   Organ transplantation testing - supporting bone marrow transplantation
•   Therapeutic apheresis - a specialized procedure used in the management of more than 80 different medical conditions
