Dr. Hiba Alhumaidan is a consultant clinical pathologist with a subspecialty in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking. She currently serves as Chair of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Dubai Health.

Dr. Alhumaidan earned her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed a Clinical Pathology residency at Warren Alpert Medical School, Brown University, Rhode Island. She further specialized through a fellowship in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking at Yale University School of Medicine. She is double board-certified by the American Board of Pathology in both Clinical Pathology and Transfusion Medicine.

With a strong focus on patient blood management, cell therapy, therapeutic apheresis, and red blood cell genotyping, Dr. Alhumaidan has developed a deep expertise in these areas, contributing significantly to advancing practices in laboratory medicine and pathology.
