Overview

The Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, part of Dubai Health, will be Dubai’s first integrated and comprehensive cancer hospital, bringing a groundbreaking model of advanced and accessible cancer care to the region. Honoring the legacy of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the hospital stands as a tribute to his lifetime of service to the UAE and extraordinary philanthropic activities that continue to touch the lives of many around the world.

The hospital, designed with environmentally sustainable principles, will provide a comprehensive range of services in one location, from early diagnosis to treatment and supportive care, delivered by multidisciplinary teams. Research and clinical trials will be at the heart of the hospital's services, fostering opportunities for discovering evidence-based treatments and personalized therapies to enhance patient outcomes. By integrating treatment, research, and comprehensive patient support, the hospital aims to set a new standard for cancer care.

Located in Dubai Healthcare City Phase 2, the 59,000² m hospital is envisaged to host 53 clinics, 21 clinical research areas, 60 infusion rooms, 10 urgent care rooms, 5 radiotherapy rooms, and 116 inpatient beds. Designed with well-being in mind, the hospital will also include 19 tranquil gardens for patients, their families, and the hospital community.

The Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital will serve as a center of excellence for cancer treatment and research in the region, and is being made possible through the generous donations received through Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health.

The Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital was awarded Gold in the World Architecture News Future Projects Award – Healthcare category for its architectural innovation and patient-centered design.
