Comprehensive pediatric care for ear, nose and throat

Our Pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT) Clinic at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive care for children with ear, nose, and throat conditions in a caring, family-friendly environment. We understand that ear, nose and throat conditions can be painful and upsetting for your child, and our specialists are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of common and complex child ENT issues to ensure they get the care they need. We treat children of all ages, and provide medical and surgical treatment for conditions ranging from ear infections and tonsillitis, to sleep apnea, hearing loss and ear deformities or protruding ears.

We work collaboratively, often with other specialists from disciplines within our Health System, to fully assess your child in terms of their communication, learning and development, and ensure we are providing the most suitable and beneficial care.

Cochlear implants and early screening

Cochlear implants are a life-changing option for children with severe to profound hearing loss, especially if your child is deaf before learning to speak. We strongly encourage you as a parent to have your baby undergo an early hearing screening to detect any hearing impairments at an early stage. Should your baby have any hearing condition, we are able to provide cochlear implantation which is key in helping your child develop their language skills. The earlier the implant, the better the opportunity your child has to attend regular school and thrive within the general education system.
