Compassionate expert care for women with high-risk pregnancies

At our Maternal Fetal Medicine Center at Latifa Hospital, we specialize in caring for women with complex or high-risk pregnancies, offering compassionate care and advanced treatment for both mother and baby.

Multidisciplinary maternal care

Our multidisciplinary maternal team provide coordinated expert care if you have, or develop a chronic condition while pregnant, if you have genetic risks, or if you have experienced recurrent miscarriages.

If you are thinking about having a baby, and have genetic conditions in your family, our genetic counselors are here to discuss and help you understand any risks, and learn about the the options for prenatal screening. If you have existing medical conditions, or like some women develop chronic conditions during your pregnancy, or have experienced pregnancy loss, this is classed as a high-risk pregnancy. Our maternal care team is here to assess, monitor and protect the health of you and your baby at every step of your pregnancy journey, and provide appropriate treatment if necessary.

Fetal care

Our fetal care team are here for you if you are experiencing high-risk pregnancy, providing advanced imaging and diagnostic tests such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling,
doppler studies and fetal echocardiography to detect any health conditions in your baby. This means that we are able to give appropriate treatment if needed, and work with you to develop a treatment plan for your remaining pregnancy and delivery with our multidisciplinary team.
