Medical Toxicology is a specialty that focuses on diagnosing and treating people who have been exposed to harmful substances, such as poisons, chemicals, drugs, or environmental toxins.

Our expert Medical Toxicology specialists work within our Emergency Medicine departments - their role is critical in helping you if you have been exposed to, or ingested a harmful substance. Fast and accurate diagnosis of poisoning cases is crucial to limit further harm and determine the best treatment plan for recovery. If you, or someone you know has received a venomous bite, overdosed on medication, or has been exposed to hazardous chemicals or even toxic plants, our Toxicology team are highly trained to quickly diagnose and effectively treat you for a succcessful recovery.
