Our team at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital is dedicated to supporting you and your child every step of the way, with advanced, personalized treatment in a caring, family-centered environment.
A team-based approach to your child's care
Bone Marrow Transplant is a treatment for children and adolescents with blood conditions and certain types of cancer, and involves infusing healthy stem cells into the body to generate healthy bone marrow. Depending on your child’s specific condition, they may receive their own stem cells (autologous transplant), or stem cells from a donor (allogeneic transplant).
Our pediatric transplant team has extensive experience in children’s bone marrow transplants, and we take a cohesive, team-based approach with doctors, nurses and specialists from multiple disciplines to provide your child expert, individualized care from your first visit, to post-transplant recovery. We understand that this is a worrying time as a parent, and we are here to help you and your child feel informed, positive and supported at every step of the journey.
