Advanced treatment for children with infectious conditions
Our Pediatric Infectious Diseases Department at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital is dedicated to providing world-class diagnoses and treatment for children and adolescents with infections ranging from the most common, to serious or unusual complex infections. Infections are caused by bacteria and viruses which children can pick up from their friends, and from the world around them. We can all do our part in taking steps to prevent infections through hand washing and proper hygiene, however kids are often more at risk as their immune systems are still developing.
Diagnosis and treatment for common and rare infections
With state-of-the-art resources, and by working in collaboration with pediatric specialists from other Dubai Health specialties, we provide comprehensive diagnostics and the most appropriate and effective treatments for a wide range of infectious diseases. From flu to infections affecting the central nervous system, lungs, heart or digestive system, to conditions like Kawasaki Disease, tuberculosis, and infections in immunocompromised children, we are here to support your child with expert care.
Our program is designed to treat and manage both common and rare infections, including those caused by antimicrobial-resistant pathogens or linked to travel. We also offer specialized care for children with recurrent or congenital conditions.
