Latifa Hospital (formerly Al Wasl Hospital) was established in 1987 as the first specialised hospital for obstetrics, gynecology and children in the UAE. In October 2021, paediatric services were transferred to Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital. Latifa Hospital receives high-risk pregnancies and performs roughly 5,000 deliveries annually. The gynaecological laparoscopic service received international accreditation as a Centre of Excellence. The hospital is certified as both a child friendly hospital and a mother friendly hospital.
