Overview

Dr. Sara Kazim is the Chair of Emergency Medicine at Dubai Health, recognized for her expertise in managing high-pressure situations and driving impactful changes in emergency care. Inspired by her mentor’s advice that “an emergency department is a happening place,” she has developed strong clinical, managerial, and leadership skills throughout her career.

Dr. Kazim earned a Master’s in Healthcare Management from RCSI in 2015 and became the Chair of Emergency Medicine at Rashid Hospital in 2018. There, she led the "RIHLA" project, improving patient-centered care and reducing waiting times. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a key role in expanding emergency care capabilities, leading to her involvement in shaping the "Dubai Emergency Care Strategy" and the "Standards for Urgent Care and Emergency Department Services."

In 2023, Dr. Kazim was appointed to chair the Emergency Department across Dubai Health, where she is focused on unifying care standards across the city. She also founded the UAE's first Toxicology Consultation Service, significantly reducing hospital admissions for acute poisoning. With an Executive MBA completed in 2022, Dr. Kazim continues to innovate and enhance patient care while supporting sustainable practices in emergency medicine across Dubai Health.
