A Center for Innovation and Technology
Our Innovation and Technology Center has evolved from a university-focused Design Lab into a dynamic hub driving advancements across our integrated academic health system. We connect students, clinicians, and healthcare professionals with industry partners, fostering collaboration to co-design and implement scalable solutions that transform healthcare.
The center comprises a series of technical labs that support Design4Health, AI and Digital, Robotics and Wearables, XR & VR Development, and Patient/User Experience. These labs are fully equipped and aim to rapidly develop and validate emerging technologies developed internally or externally for Dubai Health. Our main Design4Health Lab is also designed flexibly to accommodate large groups of students or staff for educational purposes, as well as supporting rapid prototyping and demonstrator activity.
The space also accommodates events, bootcamps, hackathons, and pitch competitions, fostering a dynamic environment for innovation and collaboration. Additionally, the center provides dedicated space for university spinouts and external startups looking to integrate into our academic health system. It also houses comprehensive support services for intellectual property management and research commercialization, ensuring a seamless transition from innovation to real-world application.
